About The Financial Management Centre

Why do we specialise in the operational finance aspect of the accounting industry?
The UK currently has over 18,000 accountancy firms who are all fighting for the tax returns and end-of-year accounts business. They tend to compete on price which means profit margins are lowered. We have consciously moved away from the accountancy market into the bookkeeping and financial management market, where there is no nationally recognised brand or market leader. In this field, we can work with our clients to add real value to their business by helping them become more financially successful.

We believe that the UK does not need another accountancy firm. We don’t compete with accountants, they are potential business partners and we work together for mutual benefit.

What is our background in accountancy and franchising?
We have deep roots in both accountancy and franchising. With over 50 years of collective experience, we have detailed understanding of the marketplace. The Financial Management Centre grew from the leading British Franchise Association accountancy firm who worked with many of the major franchise brands, including McDonalds, Subway and Threshers.

What is our coverage?
We are uniquely positioned to provide a local service through our network of over 65 offices across the UK. Each one is managed by highly qualified and experienced accountancy professionals who have passed through our strict recruitment process. We are looking to grow significantly throughout 2011 and are on track to have more than 100 offices by the end of the year. This growth is designed to strengthen our ability to secure national accounts and concrete our position as the market leader in financial management.

The Online Bookkeeper is a unique and innovative online, accountancy, software service. It helps busy small business owners, with the bookkeeping and financial management of their business. It also allows them to pull on the qualified and experienced resources of the TFMC network, if they need professional help.This service is targeted at businesses with an employee size of 0-1 employees.

The Local Bookkeeper
 
 
 
 
The Local Bookkeeper service is the UK’s leading, national, bookkeeping and management accountancy service for SMEs.  Within this, franchisees offer five core professional services: bookkeeping, management accounts, credit control, payroll services and self assessment tax returns.
 
This service is targeted towards businesses with an employee size of between 2-9 employees.

The Local Accounts Department
 
 
 
 
This service provides professional accounting and financial management services to ambitious and fast growing businesses. It allows them to become more responsive and achieve higher performance. There are three service options: ‘Pay As You Go’ bookkeeper, management accountant or financial controller; an entire outsourced accounts department or accounting systems consultancy.
 
The Local Accounts Department service is targeted towards businesses at a size of ten employees upwards.

Who are our strategic partners?
We are partners with Bibby Financial Services and The FD Centre. The FD Centre provides part-time finance directors for ambitious businesses across the UK. They work closely with the managing director, the existing finance director or finance team to deliver strategic financial support. Bibby Financial Services is the UK’s largest independent invoice finance provider to help small and medium-sized firms grow and realise their potential. Both relationships bring many referrals to benefit our network and strengthen the client base of each office.
